Analyst predicts: Apple Tablet Could Appear Spring 2010 for $1,000

According to a story posted over at Top Tech News, the mysterious Apple tablet will debut in spring 2010 for a cool grand. We however have serious doubts about this being the case. Steve Jobs has long said that Apple cannot produce a computer for less than $599 that doesn’t suck. Today an entry level macbook will set you back $1000.
According to news reports, Reiner said he based his reports on “supply chain sources.” Those sources indicated to him that the device will have a 10.1-inch multi-touch display that uses the same kind of LCD screen as the iPhone. Some earlier reports have indicated that OLED technology , which offers high-quality display but is substantially pricier, could be available in some models.
